Walking Tour of Downtown Nyack – Oct 2

Tour of Downtown Nyack – Oct 2 at 2pm
$5 per person. Reservations are not required.

Join with us as we walk through the downtown business area and trace the growth of Nyack from a small, late 17th century outpost to a thriving river port and leading commercial center of Rockland County. Learn about its decline and rebirth as a dynamic community and the arts and antiques center of Rockland. See Nyack’s skyscraper; where Nelson Rockefeller spent an afternoon, and architectural detailing that is some of the best in the country (but you have to look up)! Meets at the foot of Main Street, down by the river.

Press Release

Friends of the Nyacks, in association with the Chamber of Commerce of the Nyacks, are presenting a Candidates’ Night on Wednesday August 31, 2011 at the Nyack Center, located at 58 Depew Avenue (on the corner of Depew Avenue and South Broadway) in Nyack, at 7:30 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM). Written questions will be submitted to the moderator from the audience and the moderator will read each question. The primary for this election is September 13, 2011. This event is open to the public and free of charge. For more information please call Friends of the Nyacks at (845) 358-4973.
